I have been working as a therapist since 2016, mostly in private practice. I did both my counselling and psychotherapy training with Re-Vision.
I am registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and accredited with the United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapy (UKCP). I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework and the UKCP Code of Ethics respectively. I have regular supervision for my client work, and over 50 hours in career- and-professional development annually.
Prior to training a therapist, I volunteered as a HIV-prevention mentor with the Metro Charity, and later as a trainee therapist with the charity MIND for over three years.
As part of my psychotherapy training, I completed an 8-week Mental Health Familiarisation Placement with the charity Look Ahead supporting male clients with complex mental health needs, including dual diagnoses and severe forensic histories.
I have in-depth clinical experience and have researched extensively the often less visible and less talked-about wounding stemming from a difficult or absent relationship with the father.
I also have extensive experience of the 12-step recovery programmes, and I have supported clients overcoming addiction in this way. The combination of therapy alongside a 12-step programme can be truly transformative and life-affirming.
I work relationally, seeing the quality of the rapport between us as the primary vehicle for helping you address your difficulties. It also means that I do not hide behind a professional mask, rather I seek to meet you authentically as a human being.
Far from the stereotypical image of the therapist sitting back in silence, I bring real presence and a creative balance between support and respectful challenge. That rarely means offering you advice or a quick fix. Good therapy, especially when working at transformational depth, often involves embracing complexity and tolerating uncertainty before new ways of being can emerge.
Openness, trust, compassion, authentic dialogue, humility, curiosity, and humour are core values that I bring into my work.
I am a sex-positive and a GSRD-affirmative therapist.

integrative
My approach to therapy is integrative. I draw from different approaches and use different tools depending on your needs, how these may change over time, and what is needed moment-to-moment as we work together. As a result, I can be highly flexible, creative, and adaptive.
Psychodynamic - exploring significant life events from distant and recent past, how they have impacted on the way you experience and relate to yourself, others and the world at large; the unconscious scripts and patterns that may be enacted in your significant relationships with others, including our therapeutic relationship.
Systemic – attending to intergenerational trauma; understanding how wider, often oppressive political, social and economic forces have shaped the narratives about yourself and life; reframing and de-pathologizing your difficulties from being personal to being systemic
Gestalt & Intersubjective – exploring what is emerging in the here- and-now; maintaining a mindful curiosity and awareness of how you make sense of your experiences and the meaning you attribute to them
Body – exploring your relationship to your physicality and being mindful of bodily states and sensations especially when strong feelings are aroused; making the body’s inner wisdom explicit; feeling safe and grounded in the world; working with trauma and self-regulation; integrating a range of tools and techniques from different theoretical and trauma-processing orientations
Jungian & Post Jungian – attending to your individuation journey and the process of becoming whole; working with dreams; attending to the shadow and the unintegrated parts of yourself; active imagination
Transpersonal - symptoms and wounds as gateways to the depths of your soul; connection to the sacred; sense of calling or purpose you may feel drawn towards; sense of awe for the mysterious
